I will build you up again and you
will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel. Again you will take up your tambourines and
go out to dance with the joyful. (Jeremiah 31:4)
Feeling shattered by the heavy
burdens upon you?
Depressed? Because nothing that you
put your hand to seems to work?
Find solace this day from this verse
that the Lord speaks to you.
Spiritually, morally and in all ways
Israel was often in shambles because of moving away from the living God. But
God had loved them with an everlasting love.
The Lord appeared to us in the past,
saying: "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with
loving-kindness. (Jeremiah 31:3)
Yes, God loves you with an
everlasting love. That doesn't mean He approves the wrong in your life. He is
gentle and long-suffering waiting for you to have close fellowship with Him at
all times.
Regarding Israel, God said:
Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to
it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.
(Jeremiah 33:6)
"I will heal their waywardness and love them
freely, for my anger has turned away from them. (Hosea 14:4)
He wants to build you and not destroy
you; He wants to give you a hope and a future. So seek Him with all your heart
and He will give you the peace that passes all understanding.
Remember,
"The God of all grace, who
called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little
while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1
Peter 5:10)"
