She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali
and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: 'Go, take
with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount
Tabor. I will lure Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and
his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.'" (Judges
4:6, 7)
After Ehud died, the Israelites once again did evil in the eyes of the LORD. So the Lord gave them into the hands of Jabin, a king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who had nine hundred iron chariots and cruelly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years. So the Israelites cried to the LORD for help. And help came in the form of this prophecy uttered by Deborah, the prophetess.
God was going to lure Sisera and bring about his downfall.

After God gave Barak and Deborah victory over the
Canaanites, they sang in this manner:
"Kings came, they fought; the
kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo, but they carried
off no silver, no plunder. From the heavens the stars fought, from their
courses they fought against Sisera. The river Kishon swept them away, the
age-old river, the river Kishon. March on, my soul; be strong! (Judges 5:19-21)
The Lord will give you victory over the evil forces that are causing trouble in your life. Many times the enemy brings impediments to even small matters that involve believer's lives. This is to bring discouragement and despondency. But the Bible exhorts us in this manner:
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
The enemy will not win because Jesus is on your side. He says,
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)
Jesus loves you and he will give you victory.
