365 Blessings- May 1

The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. (Psalm 145:14)

Early in our spiritual life we must realize who's waiting to make us fall and who's always ready to uphold us. In the Old Testament, satan remained hidden and we don't read his name being mentioned as much as it is in the New Testament. John the Apostle mentions among many, one specific purpose why Jesus came to this world that we live in.
....The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. (1 John 3:8)

Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Jesus loves you and upholds you whenever Satan makes you fall. The psalmist says,
I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me. (Psalm 118:13)
In Psalm 124 we read the Psalmist praising God for God’s deliverance,
Praise be to the LORD, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped. (Psalm 124:6, 7)

The Lord wants to make your steps firm since you have trusted in him.
If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. (Psalm 37:23,24)

Remember the favorite "Do not fear" promise from the book of Isaiah?
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

Yes, the Lord's righteous right hand will uphold you when Satan tries to make you fall. God is faithful. Trust in him.
Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. (Psalm 55:22)
